Malala, as us, believes in the Education

The twofold initiative led by ODNs — education in international solidarity and support for solidarity-oriented projects — is only in its early stages in France. The challenge lies in managing the broad scope of the project! But we were strongly encouraged by Malala Yousafzai, who expressed her convictions before the Youth Assembly at the United Nations in New York City on 13 July 2013:

'...we want schools and education for every child's bright future, boys and girls. No one can stop us. We must believe in the power and the strength of our words. Our words can change the world. Because we are all together, united for the cause of education. ...So let us wage a global struggle against illiteracy, poverty and terrorism and let us pick up our books and pens. They are our most powerful weapons. One child, one teacher, one pen and one book can change the world. Education is the only solution. Education first.'

She was the victim of a terrorist attacked linked to the Taliban regime due to her defence of the right to an education. Two years later, at age 17, she received the Nobel Peace Prize along with Kailash Satyarthi, a native of India.
