Action 3 - Concert

An intense and emotional show at the "Nostra Signora" high school, touching the hearts of the fervent audience, was organised by the non profit-making organisation ODNs Italy from the Company of Mary Our Lady.

Pescara, 24th November 2017 -   - An intense and emotional show at the "Nostra Signora" high school, touching the hearts of the fervent audience, was organised by the non profit-making organisation ODNs Italy from the Company of Mary Our Lady.

The charity concert, organised for the Haitian community recently affected by hurricane Matthew, presented the Buona Fortuna Pooh Tribute Band (a musical group formed by former science Baccalaureate students at Nostra Signora High School). The audience were bowled over and found it hard to contain their emotion.

In addition, Carlotta Ceste and Chiara Cutilli, two students from Year 12 (Science Baccalaureate) and Year 11 of the Liceo Linguistico Europeo high school, earned rapt applause from the audience with their beautiful singing.

Some of the high school students, helped by the teachers, volunteered as hosts and hostesses, calmly and professionally welcoming and seating the audience as they arrived.

There was an impressive turn-out and many people felt united by a deep feeling of universal brotherhood, which gave a rousing atmosphere.

The event organisers were satisfied by the evening's great success and, above all, for the overwhelming happiness it inspired. This joy overshadowed any weariness, as everyone came together for a specific cause.

Charity work and looking after others is fundamental for our happiness because, as Aristotle said, "happiness is an integral part of a fair action and this cannot be achieved by taking short cuts. It can only be achieved through a task designed for noble intentions, using our talents and practising our virtues."

I'd like to send everyone my most sincere and heartfelt thanks.

President of the ODNs Italy non profit-making organisation.
