  • How do we feel when we see the drawing?

Do we look at it? What does it make us want to do? Do we feel close to these children? Both of them? Or do we give one of them priority? What can we tell them?

who are we ?

Given the growing gap between the North and South and the current crisis, the need to participate in the renewal of international solidarity arises, in order to: - Ensure the necessary support, within a specified period, for development programmes in areas of the world suffering from extreme poverty. - Educate younger generations, not only in sustainable development, but also in international solidarity, so that they can live as citizens of the world in a fairer and more humane world. - Seek private and public funding, allowing private donors to choose the recipients of their donations, rather than simply giving away part of their taxes without knowing where they will end up and for what cause.

It is a movement that affects men and women from various European countries and even Canada.

We were looking for a structure of international dimension to coordinate, balance, work together on projects, programmes and events...

And we have found it in Belgium, a country in which we were not yet present. The choice of an International Non-profit making Association (AISBL) as a structure has been welcomed by all parties, since it does not involve the supremacy of any of the teams that make up the current movement.

Our consultations with Belgian professionals - jurists (notaries, lawyers ...), experts (accountants) - have strengthened our conviction that AISBL is the structure that best suits our development.

A small team drafted essential articles for the mission of this AISBL, based on the corresponding statutes (Title 3 of the Law of 27th June, 1921), validated by professionals and signed before a notary on 9th November, 2011, in the presence of the 5 founding members, at the Constituent Assembly to create the Association's Board: President, Secretary and Treasurer, and to determine their functions.

Lastly, the AISBL ODNs has been acknowledged by Royal Decree of 30th November, 2011.

Nowadays, the President(s) of the structures that are created in other European countries become members of the AISBL, in order to pool our best practices, balance our programmes and coordinate all our actions, in a participatory way.
