In Vicente Caña Centre, the social foundation URAMANTA works with women whose self-esteem is very low and who do not participate in the management of the district. Their rights are not respected. They take no interest in their health or in that of their family. Their level of education is very low.

Structural improvements in "San Jose Infant School".

Situated in Brazil, in the neighbourhood of Säo Bernardo in the northern suburbs of Belo Horizonte, State of Minas Gerais. Currently it caters for 146 children aged between 2 and 6 years of age.

In Ubu, Nicaragua, on the other side of the world, we're helping youths continue their studies after primary school by providing "remote" teaching, organizing work meetings on a fortnightly basis, offering personalised follow-up of work and promoting an integral education of the person as a whole in order to foster a more humane, more just society.

Redes is helping young people with social inclusion by means of work experience.

In Nicaragua in the town of Sandino, we are aiming to join forces to promote social inclusion through work placements at a municipal level, implicating local authorities and organisations. This is a great opportunity for the young people from Nueva Vida, this neighbourhood lacking all infrastructures, still inhabited by families evacuated from Managua in 1998 after hurricane Mitch!

In 2015, in places where life is hard, people now have our solidarity.

There are, at the present time, 3 projects up and running (see odn-solidarités.org). The first in Paraguay, in Asuncion: expression workshops for children and young people to develop their learning capacity, who have shared their work with children in Saint-Jean School (ENC) in Paris. The second in Nicaragua: accompaniment for youth employment of the Secretariat Section of the Technical Network School. The third in Argentina, to continue supporting families in San Martin, with the aim of eradicating poverty in the north of the country, a region neglected by the State.

Beekeeping and breeding in the north of Argentina ...

Families of small farmers in San Martin, Posta Cambio Salazar and Fortin Lugones have formed an association in order to achieve basic food safety. Breeding and beekeeping are being developed by ensuring diversity that is technically possible, economically viable, ecologically sustainable and socially fair, with very competent and committed leaders despite difficult climatic conditions.

A more long-term project

The medicinal plant garden project in Paraguay involves three groups of villagers from Santa Maria de Fe, San Patricio and Santa Rosa. They don’t need much to transform their community and non-cash-based economy into a cash and solidarity-based economy. We are counting on you to help get their projects off the ground.

A school for 300 children in Nicaragua

In Ciudad Sandino, Nicaragua, in the poor district of Nueva Vida, a school for 300 children was built in 2000. The parents in this district cannot afford the annual tuition fees and the price of school meals. Grants need to be created to help them with these costs.

Work groups in Paraguay

In the Las Misiones region of Paraguay, parents have formed work groups to provide for their children by cleaning up a huge waste disposal site in order to create gardens. The aim of this project is to provide tools, seeds and greenhouses for these gardens.

Living areas in Kinshasa

A school complex has been built in the poor neighbourhood of Sélembao in Kinshasa (Democratic Republic of Congo), but living spaces still need to be created for the school’s 1,500 pupils.
