Do we look at it? What does it make us want to do? Do we feel close to these children? Both of them? Or do we give one of them priority? What can we tell them?

Bolivia, Women in search of Liberty: ” Warmi Ñaupajman” - News 2

In Bolivia, on the outskirts of the city of Cochabamba, children and adolescents at high risk of exclusion significantly improve their quality of life.

41% of the population is less than 14 years of age!

Poverty impacts directly on children. In families, there is a lot of violence: children have to work hard, they are exposed to accidents, they are exploited, they are victims of drug dealers (98% of the cases reported remain unpunished).

All kinds of addictions are usual and adolescents become major delinquents.

The project aims to reach these children and adolescents, encouraging their active, responsible and critical participation through group activities : transformation of recyclable products into useful objects using different techniques, workshop of technology and computer science, winter holiday camps to offer them help in their everyday life, to improve group relations, drama and body expression workshops, personalised tutoring and the practise of different sports ...

The trainers continuously seek to promote their personal expression, improve their self-esteem and encourage them to make mature decisions.

Cost of the project: €16,000
